Beauty Contests were an important and constant part of British seaside holiday entertainment during the second half of the twentieth century.

This site looks back to some of the contests - in towns like Blackpool, Fleetwood, Morecambe, New Brighton and Southport - and includes a short history of their rise and decline, as well as images from a number of the contests.
